Mr. Barnes has occupied top executive positions in different telecom organizations: Director General - Strategic Planning at the Canadian Radiotelevision and Telecommunications Commission (Canadian telecom regulator), Vice-President - Government and Regulatory Affairs, Mobility Canada, Vice-President - Public Affairs at AT&T Canada Enterprises, member of Board of Directors, Unitel Communications, and President and Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association.
